Hatha Yoga is what most people associate with when they hear the term yoga. Hatha is translated as “ha” meaning “sun” and “tha” meaning “moon.” Hatha Yoga is a path toward creating balance and uniting opposites. In our physical bodies we develop a balance of strength, flexibility and alignment through asanas or postures which may be linked together in a gentle flow. The postures are also designed to open the many channels of the body so that energy may flow freely. Hatha Yoga is a powerful tool for self transformation. It asks us to bring our attention to our breath, which helps us to still the fluctuations of the mind and be more present in the unfolding of each moment.
A moderate tempo pace in which one flows from posture to posture. This is appropriate for all levels.
Flow through the practice focusing on the chakras, your breath and where your energy goes.
Yin yoga provides a deeper stretch into the connective tissue (joints) rather than conditioning the muscles. It helps keep our joints flexible and nourishes our meridian energy channels. Poses are held for two to six minutes which create a meditative state of mind a surrender into the pose. Primary connective tissues include the hips, thighs and spine. While not a restorative class, this type of practice is beneficial to all levels and helps create a balance to Yang Yoga.
Vinyasa or flow classes vary but a common feature is the way poses flow, synchronized with the breath. Expect lots of sun salutations which are usually a workout.
This class is designed for new students or for students that wish to get back to the basics.

This class focuses on LifeForce yoga and is intentionally designed to help you calm your mind and elevate the mood using gentle movement and breathing techniques. Senior / Chair Yoga
Class will be done with standing and chair postures. Benefits of this gentle practice include less strain on joints, increased circulation, reduced inflammation, and better overall sense of wellbeing.
